Flora, Indiana, April 5, 2024 – Legacy Meat Co. has long been conscious of its responsibility to respect and acknowledge the sacrifice of this nation’s heroes. For that reason, Legacy Meat Co. is proud to partner with Folds of Honor Foundation, an organization that provides life-changing scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled US service members and first responders.
Since its inception Legacy Meat Co. was built on the premise of helping create legacies within its many communities. “This partnership with Folds of Honor allows us to build lasting legacies within our Indiana veteran, and first responder communities by ensuring that we provide opportunities to those spouses and children that have sacrificed for us,” said Clayton Michael-Butler, Co-Founder and CEO for Legacy Meat Co. The business is founded by Chase Meade, active-duty Pararescueman in the Air Force, and Clayton Michael-Butler, prior service Marine Corps and active as a volunteer firefighter.
“Folds of Honor is proud to team up with Legacy Meat Co.,” said Folds of Honor CEO and Founder, Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney. “We believe the partnership will be a force multiplier to the mission and awareness of Folds of Honor and increase scholarship funding to the families of American military and first responder heroes. Together we will meet sacrifice with hope.”
Folds of Honor Foundation was founded by Lieutenant Colonel Rooney, a decorated F-16 Viper Fighter Pilot. From its inception in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded more than 52,000 scholarships totaling nearly $244 million. Minority recipients represent 41% of all scholarships awarded. In 2022, the organization expanded its mission to America’s first responders, including police, fire, EMTs, and paramedics.
Our impact is greater together. Helping the dependents of American heroes pursue their educational dreams is possible only with the generosity of everyday citizens. If you would like to join Legacy Meat Co. in supporting our nation’s military and first responder families, know that every dollar you spend, a portion goes directly to Folds of Honor.
