Pricing
Every processor does their pricing a little differently. At Legacy Meat Co. we charge a straight “per pound” fee based off of the hot, hanging weight of the animal. This means that you are not being charged for the weight of the hide, organs, or other components that cannot be further processed.
Hogs weighing 149 Lbs or less are $1.25 per pound.
Hogs weighing 150 Lbs or more is $1.15 per pound.
About our Smoked Meats
Legacy Meat Co. uses a house recipe to provide the perfect balance of sweetness in your pork. We compliment that flavor with our all-natural hickory wood smoke. If you choose the “Fresh” option we will not season your meat, but all meat will be frozen to ensure maximum freshness for you to enjoy!
If you would like to enjoy smoked meat, please note that there is a slight upcharge to cover the additional cost of the process.
Loins, Hams, Shoulders, and Bellies – $15 per item
Jowls – $6 per item
Hocks/Shanks – $4 per item
Pick-up Policy: We want to make sure we are able to get you your order as promptly as possible, so we appreciate you picking up your order within five business days of completion. A soon as your order is completed you will receive a text message notifying you when you are able to pick up and the balance due. We will partner with you to make special arrangements for pick-up if requested. After five business days a storage fee of $2.25 will begin accruing retroactively to day one, and added to the total balance due. If we do not receive a response from you or your provider within thirty days, we will donate your order to a local charity to help feed those in need. Unfortunately, we are not able to hold your order indefinitely due to the limited space available at our facility. We are excited to fill your freezer with Indiana Grown meat!
