Every processor does their pricing a little differently. At Legacy Meat Co. we charge a straight per pound fee based off of the hot, hanging weight of the animal. This means that you are not being charged for the weight of the hide, organs, or other components that cannot be further processed.
Weight: 0-549 pounds or 951+ pounds is $1.50 per pound.
Weight: 550-950 pounds $1.35 per pound
When ordering a quarter of a beef there is a slight charge of only $20 per quarter since there is an increase in packaging and labor that goes into these orders.
If you want your cuts packaged individually, there will be an additional charge of $7.50 per quarter.
Please Note:
Since you are sharing part of a cow, there is only a limited amount of certain cuts available.When choosing between “bone-in” or “bone-out” cuts, please know that the customer sharing the other portion of the same cow must have matching options. For example, if you choose “bone-in,” all matching cuts for both portions will need to stay bone-in, and the same goes for bone-out. The default option is bone-in, but we will do our best to pair your order with another customer who has the same preferences as you.

Front
At Legacy Meat Co. we aim to provide our customers with a ground beef blend of 85% meat and 15% fat. This will give you a delicious meal that is tender and juicy without being overly greasy. If you would prefer a different ratio, please be sure to note it in the notes section for us.
You may select patties, packages or both. Regardless of your selection, they will be separated into 3 lb boxes. There is an additional processing charge of $2.25 per box.

Pick-up Policy: We want to make sure we are able to get you your order as promptly as possible, so we appreciate you picking up your order within five business days of completion. A soon as your order is completed you will receive a text message notifying you when you are able to pick up and the balance due. We will partner with you to make special arrangements for pick-up if requested. After five business days a storage fee of $2.50 will begin accruing retroactively to day one, and added to the total balance due. If we do not receive a response from you or your provider within thirty days, we will donate your order to a local charity to help feed those in need. Unfortunately, we are not able to hold your order indefinitely due to the limited space available at our facility. We are excited to fill your freezer with Indiana Grown meat!
